Dr. John Ashbaugh has practiced veterinary medicine in San Diego for over 20 years. He and his wife are now proud owners of Trident Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Ashbaugh received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, Doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University, and post-graduate training at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Ashbaugh enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with particular interest in soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and preventive medicine.
A native Californian – he grew up right here in north county San Diego where he attended Mt. Carmel High School. Away from the hospital, he enjoys sports and outdoor activities with his wife and children. They share their home with a myriad of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and even chickens!
