Monica’s love for veterinary medicine began as a child when she adopted a cocker spaniel. Her love for animals continued to grow after that! By 17 she was working as a kennel assistant in a general practice and has never stopped caring for animals since.
Monica is an RVT with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona. She has had the privilege of working across many different specialties in the veterinary community – from the equine surgical hospital to small animal neurology and critical care. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in educating pet owners about the “why” veterinarians recommend the things they do.
Monica is excited to be part of Trident’s growth and to get to know the Poway/Scripps Ranch community better. In her off time, Monica can be found enjoying the outdoors with her family, driving her kids to their different events and relaxing with her myriad of pets.
